From my initial consultation I felt very confident about the surgery, the surgeon and the hospital was the right decision for me. I had given it a lot of thought but after my first consultation I was in no doubt I wanted to go ahead. From that consultation, the surgery, my stay in hospital and subsequent follow-up appointments I received very professional care and would highly recommend both the hospital and surgeon.
I was fully informed at every stage and knew exactly what to expect. My recovery was remarkable and both friends and family were amazed at how quickly the scars healed. Within a relatively short period the scars were no longer visible and no-one would be aware I had undergone surgery, it looked completely natural although the improvement was amazing.
It is now 10 months after my surgery and I am extremely pleased with the result. I cannot express enough what the surgery has meant to me. How I felt about my eyes was beginning to affect my life, my self-confidence and self-esteem. Although I am a firm believer in not having surgery for those reasons I knew I was losing the confidence I once had and was avoiding eye-contact with people both at work and socially. That has now returned and this has had a huge impact on my life.

Rhinoplasty
About 2 years ago I fell onto concrete and broke my nose. I had a couple of operations on my nose but it did not improve to any great extent. It left me depressed and was very unhappy with the way I looked.
A friend recommended a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Mr Stephen McCulley. After my consultation I was booked in for my operation. I was very nervous about the operation but the staff were very caring both before and after my Rhinoplasty.
A week later I had my cast and stitches removed. I was seen by Angela Murray who was very patient with me as I was getting upset and nervous about what my nose would look like. When I saw my new nose I was delighted, he had made a fantastic job, and I am very happy in myself.
All the staff including the receptionists and Phillipa were brilliant, any worries I had I could ring up and speak to someone which was very reassuring.

Abdominal Apronectomy and Liposuction with a Breast reduction (Torso makeover)
I contacted Mr McCulley from Spain for a Breast Reduction and Tummy Tuck. His secretary was extremely helpful and made all the arrangements. When I saw Mr McCulley he was very frank with me and told me what he could do for me. I felt relaxed and comfortable with him and trusted his advice.
Unfortunately I was not suitable for a tummy tuck but was offered an Apronectomy with liposuction to improve the problems I had with my stomach.
I was discharged from the Park Hospital after two days after receiving excellent care. I have been back for the dressings and the care taken by Angela Murray has been brilliant, making me feel very comfortable.
I am extremely happy with the results of the breast reduction and apronectomy and would recommend Mr McCulley and staff to anyone wishing to have cosmetic surgery.
My confidence has been rebuilt and I go back to Spain feeling 100%+ better.

Facelift and Neck Lift
2006 was a bench mark year for me. I had shed nearly 20% of my body weight, my figure looked great, but my face, neck and eyes didn’t. During the weeks that followed I read many articles, discussed it with my husband and decided that it was for me. But which surgeon should I use and where should I have the operation?
My daughter and son in law run a hairdressing salon and several of their clients have had cosmetic surgery carried out by Mr Stephen McCulley. In fact his name had cropped up several times and as he is based locally in Nottingham. I made an appointment for a consultation and he interpreted my requirements precisely and discussed the options available which he confirmed in writing a few days later. I had my surgery carried out in January 2007 at the Park Hospital. Mr McCulley visited me a few hours after the operation and told me that everything had gone very well. Nurse Angela and the staff at the Park provided excellent care. Within a very short period of time my face had healed, the stitches removed and I was able to return to work. I am extremely happy with the results and all my friends and relatives say I look a lot younger.

Liposuction
I first looked into Liposuction over 2 years ago when I felt any exercise or dieting was doing nothing to reduce my 'pot belly'. The first 7lbs. always seemed to come off my face, then my legs, in fact I was starting to have the strangest shape. Shopping for clothes became a major nightmare. I realised it was years since I brought a dress or a skirt.
New Years Resolution… Jan 8th I found myself at Nottingham Nuffield Hospital for an initial consultation with Stephen McCulley, I told him my story, and we discussed the options which were Liposuction or a Mini Tummy Tuck. After much consideration I decided on the Liposuction. Three weeks later I was booked in for the procedure.
I duly arrived at Nuffield Hospital at 7.00am on the day of the Operation, and straight away a very well rehearsed procedure started. I was escorted from Reception and shown to my Room. A nurse came in to go over the Health Questionnaire that I had submitted and the Anaesthetist came by to explain what was going to happen and the pain relief management plan that would be in place. Mr McCulley then arrived to 'mark' the areas he was going to treat. Another Nurse popped in and I was told approximately the time I would be collected and taken to theatre. So all I had to do was wait whilst reading a magazine.
Post operation I came round in the Theatre and vaguely remember the journey back to my room. Again I was very well looked after, Nurses popping in all the time to check on my fluid levels and take my blood pressure. Although I could tell I'd been through quite an invasive procedure I was not in any real pain at all, thanks to the Anaesthetist and his plan. I was discharged the next day.
12 Weeks Later as the swelling went down, my skin started to go back and for the 1st time in years I felt an interest in buying nice underwear, and yes two skirts and a dress, and trust me there will be more. I can't wait to go on Holiday this summer, as just for once I will be able to wear what I want. Since the Liposuction I have now lost a total of 10lb (combination of the Lipo and not eating pies) the weight has come off in all the right places, namely my stomach. I do have a slight crease but its amazing how my posture has improved, I now walk tall instead of hunching over to cover up.
My only regret is I should have done this two years ago when I first thought about it, no amount of exercise or dieting would have given me the results that Liposuction has given me.
I can only thank Mr McCulley for his accurate assessment of my treatment and his skill in performing the operation, plus I'd like to send my thanks to all of the Staff at Nuffield.

Rhinoplasty
I had been considering having the bumps in my nose reduced for many years. I had consulted a couple of different surgeons and chose Mr McCulley based on his professional qualifications and his understanding of what was needed. The surgery itself was surprisingly pain free, in fact I did not require any pain killers after surgery. My bruising had completely disappeared within 10 days. I am delighted with the results and feel more confident with my appearance. Mr McCulley advised what was achievable in my case and the result was exactly as described.
