injectable wrinkle treatments -
Potential Complications

This is a routine treatment that is a great success for the vast majority of patients. Problems mostly occur if the product is injected in the wrong place. However, it is very important you understand what can go potentially go wrong although all are very unusual with a good technique.

Droop (or ptosis) of eyelid or eyebrow: This could occur if the product paralyses the muscles that elevate the eyelid. If too much of the forehead is paralysed then the same could happen to the brow. These problems are avoided by not injecting in the ‘sensitive areas’.

Small degrees of asymmetry: The same injection will be performed both sides. There is a small chance of a greater effect on one side and not the other.

Bruising: Uncommon and usually very small is does.

Allergic reactions: Exceptionally rare
