Fillers/Fat Injections -
Potential Complications

This is a routine treatment that is a great success for the vast majority of patients. Problems mostly occur if the product is injected in the wrong place. However, it is very important you understand what can go potentially wrong.

Skin irregularity: If the filler is too superficial than it can cause lumps and shadowing in the skin which can take a long time to disappear. This is very rare with a good technique.

Small degrees of asymmetry: The same injection will be performed both sides. There is a small chance of a greater effect on one side and not the other.

Bruising: Usually minor if occurs.

Allergic reactions: Exceptionally rare

Disappearance of filler: This is more of a problem with fat injection for certain patients.
