Post Injection
You may be a little red and swollen at the injection sites for a few hours. It is possible to have some very small bruises. Occasionally the lips can swell for longer.
Final outcome
The results will be seen immediately and will look slightly greater than expected with swelling. This will settle and the result will be seen at 24-72 hours. The temporary fillers last from 3-12 months. This is quite variable between patients and also on the site of injection. Highly mobile areas such as the lips tend not to last as long. Perlane lasts longer than Restylane.
Fat injection is more unpredictable. When the fat survives it is permanent. Usually about 40-50% of fat injected will survive. HOWEVER the amount of fat that survives varies from 0-100%. This needs be fully understood upon embarking on fat injection.
Time off work and socializing
Often none but there may be some swelling for 24 hours. For fat injection this will be longer as it is a formal operation.
Time to exercise
Avoid strenuous exercise on the day of injection.

Should be possible immediately
