Potential Complications
This procedure has few problems but the following are risks.
- Bleeding or infection
- Recurrence of inversion. This can occur in up to 25% depending upon the technique used.
- Inability to breast feed. Any surgery for nipple inversion can lead to inability to breast feed.
- Altered nipple sensation. Uncommon long term.
